ABSTRACT
In 2003, we defined a new era in neurophysiological neuroscience

I.Original Innovation Leads · Defines the Era

Before 2003, mainstream hospital-grade EEG (electroencephalography) systems worldwide remained predominantly wired.

That year, NCC MEDICAL pioneered the world's first wireless Bluetooth video-EEG system, achieving a complete closed-loop integration of wireless communication + video synchronization + 24-hour ambulatory monitoring . This landmark innovation officially inaugurated the era of wireless and intelligent neuroelectrophysiology. The system underwent clinical validation in neurology departments and epilepsy centers of multiple Grade A tertiary hospitals and obtained medical device registration certificates  and patent certifications .

Subsequent consumer and research-grade wireless devices propelled the adoption of wearable EEG. However, these devices fundamentally differ from NCC’s 2003 clinical-grade system in targeting and regulatory compliance, as NCC’s solution was explicitly designed for clinical use and holds valid registrations and patents .

NCC MEDICAL drove a historic shift in EEG monitoring from static wired recording to wireless intelligent monitoring through original technologies.

We are not followers—we are pioneers.

VII. Academic Review and Timeline Comparison

In recent years, several authoritative reviews have systematically summarized the development of wireless/portable EEG technology (Frontiers in Neuroscience, 2023; MDPI Sensors, 2022) and outlined the technological evolution timeline of EEG, from early wearable prototypes to modern high-throughput wireless systems.

These literatures indicate that prior to 2003, there were no publicly released clinical-grade wireless EEG products based on Bluetooth—this stands in stark contrast to the timeline of NCC Medical, which obtained the registration certificate and patent for its (corresponding) product in 2003.
